Obviously a key component to the film, and to the poem, were the Woman's journals. As part of Tonya's rehearsal process (and because I simply didn't have the time or anyone to do them) I asked her to create a few pages. I have her some pictures and newspaper clippings and a notebook and told her to come back with half a dozen filled pages and one that was half filled so that we could shoot her writing in the book.
Below are scans of several of the pages she generated. She did an excellent job in getting into the mind of the character in these writings. The second page down (excluding the SECRET clipping) became the basis for all of the key art.
